INTRODUCTION TO THE ACTIVITIES

The Business Idea Matrix can help you:

  • A self assessment tool should help you to start to analyse your motivations, goals but as well to measure what is important for you.
  • Being an artist do not always prepare you to be an entrepreneur but within the next steps, you need to be sure you want to be this entrepreneur.
  • The different tools are made to make you realyse the different steps or tasks, it might be necessary to achieve before you create your own business.

STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE

Trainer will explain the concept of self awareness and then trainees are asked to answer the question and to share the answers with other participants – participants can also work in small groups of 3/4 to share their answers.

  3. Exercise 3 – Habits chart availability

Flipchart and post-its can also been used to the same activity in a group.

Activity 4 : Draw up your personality and skills

Please, think of your personality and your skills. Here we lay out a series of variables that can help you drawing up your own professional goal. We’re going to deeply analyse these aspects that are so important to take into consideration in order to set your goal or goals.

Read carefully through the following sections and personally analyse each of the 7 variables, according with your professional goal:

  1. Training required
  2. Necessary skills
  3. Professional experience
  4. Personal Style
  5. Payment
  6. Job location
  7. Other characteristics

STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE

Trainer to present key sectors and established pathways and project opportunities – participants are invited to question/contribute their thoughts/concerns.

Create the Project: Trainer will provide a large-scale Design Template for participants to collectively populate using differing coloured post-its by taking one of each of their answers from exercises 1,2 & 3, whilst reflecting on the process of identifying the issue through to providing the solution.

Conclusion – Trainer presents next steps – including planning the action and actioning the plan, essential documents, and considerations. Participants to discuss collectively and individually reflect on:

  • What did you learn from this exercise?
  • Do you have more understanding of how to map your organisation’s stakeholders?
  • Did you find it useful working with your fellow participants to generate responses?
